To help to bring churches and Christians in the Bath area together in prayer, discernment and action around a common purpose to build justice, mercy and hope for individuals and local communities.
Our current priorities are…
1. Organising united prayer events and activities
To build the level of coordinated and shared prayer across the city, through existing and new activities, and through strengthening the communications networks that explain and request strategic and specific prayer needs.
2. Providing a network of communications for the Christian community
To develop the level and quality of our communications within the Christian network, and to the external audience, including media and focus events.
3. Working with other networks and agencies to meet unmet needs and provide positive support to local communities
To be part of the Movement for Recovery, which is being coordinated in the BANES area by Compassionate Community, building relationships with the coordinators of other sector networks, and engaging Christians and churches in looking for solutions to help meet unmet needs and provide positive support to our local communities.
4. Encouraging and supporting existing social action projects
To develop a set of support mechanisms for social action projects in the B&NES area (including both those that are overtly Christian and those with Christian values) to develop relations, and provide appropriate support.
5. Participating in the Transformation agenda
To participate in the Transformation agenda that is building in the Christian community in the City of Bath.
